Ingredients 

  1. 2-3 TSP vegetable oil
  2. 1 bay leaf, cinnamon stick , 1star, 3 cardamon and 1 clove
  3. chopped onion (1)
  4. Salt
  5. 1/2 TSP Anise
  6. 1tsp ginger garlic paste
  7. 3 chopped green chilies
  8. 1/2 TSP turmeric powder
  9. 1tsp garam masala
  10. 2 TSP chili powder
  11. 2 chopped tomatoes
  12. 500 gms mushroom
  13. Chopped capsicum 
  14. 1/4 cup curd
  15. coriander powder (1 TSP )
  16. Soaked Rice and water (1:1.5)
  17. Mint leaves

I recommend you guys to soak the rice for 30 minutes

Method

1.Take a frying pan or cooker, add 2-3 TSP oil , add the bay leaf , star , cardamon and clove. Let the aroma take over

2. Add the chopped onions , fry till it becomes translucent

3. Add salt as per the taste , add Anise and fry till the flavor gets in .

4. Add 1tsp ginger garlic paste, chopped green chilies, turmeric powder, garam masala and chili powder. Mix and fry them till it becomes a paste

5. Add the chopped tomatoes and fry till the portion reduces.

6. Now add the chopped mushrooms, chopped capsicum , curd and mint and coriander powder. Mix them really well. Leave it for a minute

7. Now add the rice and water . Taste the mixture. See the salt proportion. If the salt proportion is little more, then the mixture is good to go.

8.Cover the container with a lid and let it boil till the water is fully gone.

That’s it, your delicious mushroom biriyani is ready to be served. please add chopped coriander leaves while serving. You can enjoy this biriyani with onion raitha and paapad.
