Asura: Tale of the Vanquished Novel by Anand Neelakantan

This book is basically Ramayan from Ravan's point of view. However if you read the book, you will understand that He was more horrible than a scum of a society, hypocrite , double standard asshole and your blood will boil like anything. There is also an other character which was created by the author called badra. This book has also his point of view where the entire story revolves around his life. Considering that this book is a fiction , we can just read and enjoy the experience of opening your mind and knowing a different perspective about the same story. A great read and absolutely engaging book with few lust details here and there. Having said all that, I have few questions for the author. 

When you write a book from history, every single detail of the book is knowledge, You are re-establishing history. How can you modify the details of the history and the entire storyline? Tomorrow if someone asks me how many kids did ravana had , what should I say? Should I say just akshay kumar and meganad or sita, meganath, athikya and akshay kumar ??  

Since badra is a created character, if he was taken out from actual history , the real historic character athikya won't even exist right??? 

However , this is a beautiful book with practical perspective of those days. He has articulated very beautifully that aeronautical engineering existed those days and that's why they had a prototype of airplane which was used to travel overseas. 

Please read this book guys. Your time will be worth it. But if you are a knowledge junky where you have the habit of taking notes, don't do it. Just go easy and enjoy your reading experience. We will be able to understand that Asura's have suffered so badly due to the practice of untouchability and ill-treatment. 

I can give 3.5 stars out of 5.
